Process Overview

Flexcision’s welding services cover three processes matched to different assembly needs: manual TIG welding for precision stainless steel and aluminium parts where weld appearance and heat input control matter, manual MIG/MAG welding for structural steel fabrication and larger welded frames and assemblies, and soft welding for special applications on request. The appropriate welding process is selected based on material, joint design, part geometry and project requirements, with all welding work managed under the same quality system.

Technical Specifications

Stainless steel welding and aluminum welding both run on the same measurable specifications rather than separate standards. Material thickness ranges from 0.8 mm to 2 mm. Stainless steel work covers SUS304 and SUS316, aluminum welding covers 5052 and 6061, and carbon steel grades include SPCC, DC01, and general structural steel. Assembly tolerance after welding reaches up to ±0.2 mm depending on part geometry, so OEMs can check a project’s requirements against these figures before submitting drawings.

Quality Assurance

Welding quality is controlled through documented inspection procedures under Flexcision’s ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Inspection may include visual weld inspection, dimensional verification using CMM or 3D measurement equipment, and additional documentation such as FAI or PPAP when required by the customer or project. Inspection methods and documentation requirements are defined according to part specifications, quality requirements and production needs.

Manufacturing is performed according to:

  • ISO 9001:2015
  • ISO 14001:2015
  • ISO 3834-2

Available documentation includes:

  • Inspection Reports
  • FAI Reports
  • PPAP Documentation

Inspection Equipment:

  • CMM Measurement
  • 3D Height Gauges
  • Weld Visual Inspection
  • Dimensional Verification Fixtures

Industry Applications

Welding services support all five industries this facility serves as a contract welding partner: medical device manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, and general machinery manufacturing, using the same welding cells and quality documentation regardless of which industry a job comes from. Many welded assemblies combine a welded frame or housing with CNC-machined or sheet-metal-fabricated components from elsewhere in the facility, so the weld is only ever one step in a larger build. OEM manufacturers, automation companies, medical device producers, and semiconductor equipment suppliers make up the customer base.

Medical Device Manufacturing

  • MRI support frames
  • CT scanner structures
  • Detector housings
